I Prevail performed the second of four shows as part of Inked Entertainment Events’ Sonic Summer Jams Concert Series at Peoria Riverfront.

Having a difficult past few years Brian Burkheiser having vocal issues, I Prevail came back stronger than ever with their “Trauma Tour” supporting their March 2019 album release “Trauma.” Burkheiser commented that at one point last year the band had contemplated discontinuing, but as the Peoria Riverfront audience proved, they would have been greatly missed. Their fan base in Peoria was fired up and ready for them after rockers Issues and hip-hop/rap artist, Justin Stone.

In the throes of depression, Burkheiser wanted to quit, and during that time penned the tune “Breaking Down” which is currently sitting at #1 on SiriusXM Octane Big Un’s Chart.

Bringing together talent’s like Tyler Carter and award-winning bassist Sky Acord, Issues had the audience on their feet rocking. Sky Acord is one of those performers that mesmerizes from the very beginning. Between his infectious smile to his incredible stage presence, this bass player stole the show. While Carter’s vocals were perfection, Acord knew how to play to the audience in a way that genuinely he owns.

Columbus native Justin Stone was an interesting choice for this tour of rockers, but Peoria welcomed him with open arms quite literally as Stone interacts with the audience several times by joining them in the mosh pit and having them hold him while he stands. He trusted Peoria rockers enough to fall and catch him, ushering him to the stage to continue his performance.
