Chart Scene: ‘The Stadium Tour’ Tops Live75 In Second Week

After debuting at No. 2 one week ago, Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe jump one position to head up the slate of touring artists on LIVE75 based on ticket sales from “The Stadium Tour.” With concerts at 11 venues in U.S. cities, the co-headliners, along with Poison and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, moved 96% of the available tickets to average 36,934 sold seats per show in their rise to No. 1. The bands also earn “Heavy Hitter” status with a $4.94 million gross average, the highest of the week among the 75 ranked tours.

Dead & Company earns the “Hot Shot” classification on LIVE75, also based on 11 reported shows with chart eligibility. The band scores the No. 5 ranking with a ticket average of 19,759 from concerts at both stadiums and amphitheaters on their summer tour. The trek kicked off on June 11 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles and wrapped in New York City on July 16, but the 11 reported concerts all occurred during June. Following the opener in L.A. were stadium shows at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado, and Chicago’s Wrigley Field as well as five shed dates through the 29th of the month.
