Well I was covering Angels and Airwaves at The Warfield in San Francisco and due to some serious traffic conditions, I arrived late. A bit bummed because from what I understood, the Charming Liars (who were supporting the tour) were satisfying fans with their dynamic live show and after stalking youtube to create a playlist with this band it validated everyone’s musical opinions. Needless to say I caught the last three songs but in turn too late to enter the pit to capture pics.

So in all fairness since those three songs just blew me away, I wanted to give them a shout out and so here it is … Their sound is poppy, top 40-ish, melodic in a hypnotic type sense without over doing it … and super catchy with hooks that remained in my brain often finding myself humming it on the way home. There’s no doubt that these guys Kiliyan Maguire – Vocals, Karnig Manoukian – Guitar, Production, Mike Kruger – Bass, from London, England has found themselves in a mixed genre that will attract fans from an extremely wide demographic demonstrated with one of their tracks that’s making a name for themselves called Oceans which you can check out right here:

Clearly a go to concert should you see them on a tour lineup at a venue near you. Accompanying as support for The New Regime and Angels and Airwaves ended up being just what was needed to catapult them to the next level and it wouldn’t surprise me seeing them climb the charts as well their spot on a touring bill in the very near future. You can actually still catch them on tour right now!

Charming Liars are: Kiliyan Maguire – Vocals
Karnig Manoukian – Guitar, Production
Mike Kruger – Bass
